AvistaTech is a proud supporter of Seva Foundation. Seva is a global nonprofit eye care organization that works with local communities around the world to develop self-sustaining programs that preserve and restore sight. Since 1978, Seva Foundation has provided sight-saving surgeries, eyeglasses, medicine, and other eye care services to more than 44 million people in under-served communities.
Why Sight?
Blindness and poor vision can keep people trapped in a vicious cycle of poverty, children who have vision problems are often unable to get an education, it empowers women and girls - more than half of people living with blindness and visual impairment are women and girls, it creates a profound and immediate impact - most eye care treatments change lives right away, and it builds a better tomorrow - when you give one sight back to one person, you give two people their lives back; 75% of visually impaired people are assisted with everyday living.
In 2021, AvistaTech's mission is to sponsor 100 sight restoring surgeries and screen the eyes of 1,000 children. Seva's vision is a world in which no one lives with treatable blindness.
